About the Role:
The Fleet Management Officer is responsible for maximum uptime for all company vehicles, both owned and
leased as well as ensuring all vehicle needs are addressed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfilment and management of all company operational vehicle requirements (owned and leased)
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance requirements are met for all vehicles HDVs and LDVs
- Contract and vendor management accountability for all vehicle leasing scenarios
- Oversight of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Management and leadership of driving staff
- Responsible for management of costs associated with maintenance and vehicle use
- Development, enforcement, and appraisal of service level agreements for all distribution and order
processing
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation and Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years in managing LDVs and HDVs
- Computer literate i.e. Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic vehicle mechanics
