Tanzania and EU Strengthen Trade and Investment Cooperation

Tanzania and the European Union have agreed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation as part of efforts to support Tanzania’s Vision 2050. The discussions brought together EU representatives, European business associations and Tanzanian government institutions in Dar es Salaam.

Tanzania and the European Union (EU) have agreed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation to stimulate economic growth and support the implementation of Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050. The agreement was discussed during a dialogue held in Dar es Salaam on August 26, 2026, bringing together representatives of EU member states, the EU Delegation to Tanzania, European business associations and various Tanzanian government institutions and authorities. The participating government institutions included the Immigration Department, Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), which are involved in facilitating trade and investment in Tanzania.
