Job Purpose
The main responsibility of the Zonal Relationship Manager Mining, Oil & Gas for Medium & Small enterprises is to Support Zonal Portfolios and manage the end-to-end relationships of key stakeholders in the sector for the purpose of onboarding more SME’s enterprise and retaining the existing portfolio by ensuring provision of tailor-made solutions which carters for customer’s needs focusing on medium and small-scale Mining.
Principle Responsibilities
- To manage the entire relationship lifecycle including acquisition, portfolio management, renewals and retention, with an objective to grow Assets and Liabilities in Mining Oil and gas portfolio, focusing on small and medium enterprises upstream, midstream, and downstream operations and their related value chain.
- To support respective Assigned Zones by providing expertise assistance in growing mining portfolio.
- To identifying and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable customers and exploit cross selling opportunities in the overall Mining Oil and Gas value chain.
- To conduct discussion and negotiations for the purpose of generating relevant business with stakeholders, prepare and present business proposals, credit appraisals, reports, and risk assessments for senior management and relevant committees’ approval.
- Conduct detailed credit assessments and financial analysis of Mining oil and gas small and medium companies and provide an in-depth analysis of clients’ strategies, business financial performances, industry outlook, and general macroeconomic trends in Tanzania and regional geographies for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders of the Bank.
- To manage monitor and maintain a high quality of the asset book, ensure excellent performance and maximum returns of the portfolio by developing a prudent asset and cost-effective long-term liabilities with purpose of ensuring client profitability, sustainability, increased revenue, and reduced risk.
- To coordinate with internal teams such as Branch, Operations, Transactional banking credit, risk, trade finance, treasury etc., to ensure seamless service delivery and resolving customer complaints that ensure the delivery of profitable bank products and services.
- Responsible for growing the Bank’s ecosystem in the Mining oil and gas sub-sectors by linking Artisanal and Small-Scale mining projects to Government ministries, financiers, contractors, suppliers, and export credit agencies.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Geoscience, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or any other related field from a recognized university.
- Background or experience in the Mining, Oil & Gas industry is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Banking, Mining, Oil & Gas, Insurance, Investment Banking, or any other related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial and deal information and recommend suitable financing solutions.
- Good understanding of loan markets, credit processes, loan restructuring, collections, and delinquent loan turnaround strategies.
- Knowledge of sector-related business challenges, opportunities, market trends, and relevant legal documentation.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, and financial management skills.
