TanTrade Calls for Redevelopment Proposals for Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam

TanTrade is calling for expressions of interest to redevelop the Mwl J.K. Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam under a PPP model. The 55.39-acre site is set to become a world-class trade and exhibition hub, with operations expected to begin by 2027.

TanTrade owns 55.39 acres of land along Kilwa Road in Temeke District, strategically located 3.3 km from the National Stadium, 5.5 km from the TAZARA railway station, 6.2 km from the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) station, 11.2 km from Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA), and 5.5 km from Dar es Salaam Port. The planned redevelopment envisions a state-of-the-art trade and exhibition hub comprising exhibition halls, conference halls, convention centers, recreational areas, gateways, restaurants, promenades, and office facilities.

The facility is expected to begin operations in 2027 to align with trade and exhibition activities during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027.
