Description:
Railway Engineering Planning and Contract Engineers will oversee contract management for the Tabora to Kigoma SGR project, ensuring compliance with international standards (e.g., FIDIC) and Tanzanian regulations. Responsibilities include drafting and executing contracts, managing variations, and collaborating with project stakeholders to optimize schedules and costs. This role is ideal for professionals with strong technical and legal expertise in railway engineering. Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and execute subcontracts, procurement contracts, and lease agreements.
• Manage engineering variations and claim documentation.
• Verify bills of quantities for accurate measurement and payment.
• Collaborate with the chief engineer on construction organization design and schedule adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and project regulations.
• Conduct data analysis for cost control and project optimization. Eligibility Requirements:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Law, Engineering Management, or related fields.
• Technical Competencies:
• Proficiency in railway engineering standards and construction drawing interpretation.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract clauses and Tanzanian legal requirements.
• Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of international project contract management experience, preferably in railway projects.
• Certifications: Preference for candidates with internationally recognized contract management certifications.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Chinese or Swahili preferred. • Additional Requirements:
• Knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and public project provisions (e.g., tender processes, local employment ratios).

• Ability to adapt to challenging environments and long-term overseas assignments.
